Updated WEDNESDAY 28/10/09. 09:15hrs.(wsdt) WEEKEND FORECAST FOR THE 31st October & 1st November. Interesting scenario developing for the weekend with again Sunday being your best option for a decent offshore wind and swell, swimmers swim between the flags (surfers stay out of the flagged areas) and Abalone fisherman be weary of the swell. PERTH METRO Saturday: Moderate to fresh S to S/SW winds in the morning swinging fresh S in the afternoon. Beach breaks will be offering chest high waves as the norm with the shoulder to head high sets. Not a lot of shape with a cross shore wind making it's presence felt. Protected groynes and reef breaks are your better option. Sunday: Moderate SE to E/SE winds in the morning abating by midday then becoming moderate S to S/SE through the afternoon. Beach breaks will be between the chest to shoulder high mark with head high sets with a few sneaking through into the small swell reef breaks. MARGARET RIVER Saturday: Moderate to fresh S/SW winds, swinging S/SE in the afternoon then back into the SE by late afternoon. Mainbreak will be between the six to eight foot mark on a building swell. Protected Bays and Points will be your best option. Sunday: Moderate to fresh SE to E/SE winds throughout the day with the wind backing off in the afternoon. Could possibly see an all day offshore. Mainbreak will be smoking, providing waves heights of between the five to six foot mark with eight foot sets and possibly the odd bigger sneaker. Bays and points will still have a few on offer.
