A deep, strong low pressure system will make it's presence felt off the South West corner of the state throughout Saturday with the swell building quickly during the day as it starts to intensify off the South West corner overnight and into Sunday. Huge swell conditions will be prevalent on both the metro and South West coast line with moderate to severe coastal erosion likely mid morning Sunday with the high tide. The low will be accompanied by cold Strong to gale force S/SWesterlies to SWesterly winds, rapidly easing by Sunday afternoon.

Wind Direction: SW 20 - 30 knots gusts.
Swell mean time period: 11 - 12 seconds.
Swell direction: SW
Surf size (waves): 3.5 metres (am) building throughout the day to 4.5 to 5 metres/4 to 7 foot faces on the beach breaks by the evening.
Unsafe surf conditions on the open ocean breaks.

SOUTH WEST BEACHES (Margaret River Region)
Wind Direction: SW 25 - 35 knots.
Swell mean time period: 11 - 12 seconds.
Surf size (waves): 4.5 to 5 metres/8 to 15 feet (am) building to 5.5 to 6 metres/15 to 18 feet by evening.
Unsafe surf conditions on the open ocean breaks.

Wind Direction: S to S/SW 25 - 35 knots possibly stronger in gusts moderating by the afternoon.
Swell mean time period: 13 seconds.
Surf size (waves): 5 metres to 5.5 metres (possibly larger), 6 to 8 foot faces on the beach breaks possibly larger.
Unsafe surf conditions on the open ocean breaks.

SOUTH WEST BEACHES (Margaret River Region)
Wind Direction: S to S/SW 25 - 35 knots stronger in gusts moderating by the afternoon.
Swell mean time period: 13 - 14 seconds.
Surf size (waves): 6 metres to 6.5 metres, peaking at 7metres/18 to 25 feet combined sea and swell at Margaret River.
Unsafe surf conditions on the open ocean breaks.
